What these terms cover
These Terms govern your purchase, license, and use of the Authica plugin (Free and Pro), updates, and any related services, including licensing and billing handled through our commerce provider Freemius.
By installing, activating, or purchasing Authica, you agree to these Terms.
Other policies
These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy and support guidelines:
1) License & Ownership
Authica (code, branding, and materials) is owned by Emil Simunovic.
The Free version is distributed under the GNU General Public License v2 (or later) as published on WordPress.org.
Authica Pro is licensed to you on a per-site basis according to your plan. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Pro on the number of sites permitted by your plan, subject to these Terms.

- Single: 1 site
 - 5-Sites: up to 5 sites
 - Agency: unlimited sites (reasonable use; reselling the license itself is not permitted)

You may not sublicense, sell, or redistribute the Pro plugin files or license keys. You may not remove or alter copyright notices.
2) Delivery, Activation & Updates
Pro purchases are delivered via email and the Customer Portal after successful payment. Pro features require a valid license key.
Updates are provided while your license is active. Features may change or be added/removed over time. We may provide security and compatibility updates to both Free and Pro at our discretion.

3) Payments, Renewals & Taxes
Payments are processed securely by Freemius, Inc. as our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Pricing and available plans are shown on our website and in checkout. Applicable taxes (e.g., VAT/GST) may be added at checkout where required by law.
- Subscription licenses renew automatically each billing cycle (monthly or annually) until canceled.
 - Lifetime licenses include lifetime updates for the purchased major product line, per plan limits.
 - You can manage billing, invoices, and license activations in the Customer Portal.

4) Cancellations & Refunds
You may cancel an auto-renewing subscription at any time from the Customer Portal; your license remains active until the end of the paid term.
- Refund window: If you’re not satisfied, request a refund within 14 days of the initial purchase. Renewal payments are refundable within 7 days provided the renewed license has not been used (e.g., activated on new sites) after the renewal date.
 - Refunds are not available for licenses that are materially used beyond the stated limits, or for lifetime licenses after 30 days.

To request a refund, contact [email protected] with your order email and license key.
5) Support & Compatibility
We provide support for customers with an active Pro license through our support channel at
    authica.net/support.
Free users can use the WordPress.org forum at
    wordpress.org/support/plugin/authica/.

- Scope: installation, basic configuration, and bug reports. Customizations or conflicts with third-party themes/plugins are outside scope but we try to be helpful.
 - Compatibility: Authica targets actively supported WordPress and PHP versions. We cannot guarantee compatibility with every theme or plugin.
 - Response times: we respond as quickly as possible within business hours (working days), prioritizing urgent issues.

6) Data, Privacy & External Services
We respect your privacy. Please review our
    Privacy Policy
for details on what we collect and why.

- Freemius (licensing, payments, customer portal). When you purchase or activate Pro, certain data (e.g., email, license activations, order info) is processed by Freemius as our payment and licensing provider.
 - Cloudflare Turnstile (optional bot protection). If enabled, Turnstile may process IP and browser information to validate requests. See Cloudflare’s privacy documentation.

Where required, you are responsible for obtaining consent from your end-users and for complying with applicable laws (e.g., cookie/consent notices).
7) Acceptable Use
- Do not use Authica to violate any law, infringe IP rights, or circumvent access controls.
 - Do not share or publicly post license keys.
 - Reasonable use applies to “unlimited sites” plans; automated redistribution or offering Authica as a hosted service is prohibited.

8) Warranties & Disclaimers
Authica is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the plugin will be error-free or that it will meet every specific requirement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9) Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the license during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Emil Simunovic from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of Authica or violation of these Terms.
11) Term & Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to Pro updates or license services if you materially breach these Terms (e.g., license abuse, chargeback fraud). Upon termination, your right to receive updates and use license-gated features ends; any perpetual rights granted under the GPL for the Free version remain unaffected.
12) Changes to the Product or Terms
We may modify features, pricing, or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13) Governing Law & Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario/Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Mississauga/Ontario/Canada, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
